Ingénieur·e de recherche en matériaux polymères thermoplastiques

Au sein du département Produits Composites et Revêtements de Surface, et au sein du groupe Adhésifs, Composites et Thermoplastiques, vous concevrez et mettrez en œuvre de nouveaux matériaux polymères pour les marchés de la construction, de la mobilité et de l’énergie. Les compétences du groupe s'articulent autour de la synthèse et mise en œuvre d'adhésifs et de composites polymères, ainsi que sur l'utilisation de matériaux thermoplastiques (fibres, membranes, …).

Nous travaillons notamment sur l’extrusion et l’injection de matériaux thermoplastiques utilisés dans les solutions de Saint-Gobain. Vous rejoindrez une équipe dynamique d'une dizaine de personnes et serez en contact direct avec les partenaires R&D et marketing des unités opérationnelles de Saint-Gobain.

A travers la sélection de matières premières innovantes, leur formulation et leur mise en œuvre, vous contribuerez à la conception de nouvelles solutions qui participent directement à la stratégie globale du groupe Saint-Gobain d’atteindre la neutralité carbone et de réduire l’empreinte environnementale de ses produits tout au long du cycle de vie.

Dans ce cadre, vos missions seront les suivantes :

• Développer de nouveaux matériaux et solutions dans un environnement de haut niveau technologique et scientifique


• Conduire les projets de recherche en respectant les cahiers des charges et les délais


• Accompagner l’industrialisation des solutions, du laboratoire vers l’échelle industrielle


• Rendre compte des résultats de vos projets de façon claire et pédagogique


• Travailler en collaboration avec des techniciens, superviser le travail de stagiaires ou d’alternants

Within the Composite Products and Surface Coatings department and the Adhesives, Composites, and Thermoplastics group, you will design and implement new polymer materials for the construction, mobility, and energy markets.
The group's expertise skills on the synthesis and implementation of adhesives and polymer composites, as well as the use of thermoplastic materials (fibers, membranes, etc.).

We work in particular on the extrusion and injection molding of thermoplastic materials used in Saint-Gobain solutions.
You will join a dynamic team of around ten people and will be in direct contact with the R&D and marketing partners of Saint-Gobain's business units. Through the selection, formulation, and implementation of innovative raw materials, you will contribute to the design of new solutions that directly contribute to the Saint-Gobain Group's global strategy of achieving carbon neutrality and reducing the environmental footprint of its products throughout their lifecycle.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop new materials and solutions in a high-tech and scientific environment


• Conduct research projects in compliance with specifications and deadlines


• Support the industrialization of solutions, from the laboratory to industrial scale


• Report the results of your projects in a clear and informative manner


• Work in collaboration with technicians and supervising the work of interns or work-study students
